How can I entertain my little cousins while camping in the backyard?
Alright, my little cousins, who are 5 and 7, are coming over in two days and we’re going to have a sleepover where we set up a tent and sleep in the backyard. It’s illegal to have fire pits in my neighborhood, so instead we are using a chiminea ( a mini outdoor, portable fireplace ) to sit around and cook marshmallows and stuff. Most of the campfire stories I know are scary, and most the activities I know involve more than two or three people. What sort of things should I do with my little cousins to keep them entertained and make it a sleepover they won’t forget? I am not really looking for sites that can give me ideas since I have already looked through most of them. Now I want opinions from people on what to do. It can be food, songs, games, whatever, everything is appreciated. Thank you!

Can I use flashmaster 505 cement to repair my chiminea?
i know that flashmaster 505 cement is used for concrete shingles and chiminey seals. Stuff like that. I was wondering if I could use it to repair the cracks in my chiminea being that it is clay and not concrete? I know it is heat tolerant so I was thinking it might work but didnt want to try until I found out a little more information.
Thanks

How Can I get Clay to Harden at home-without letting it air dry?
I made a little figure out of clay and I wanted it to dry. It’s natural clay so I can’t just let it air dry. I was thinking about putting it in our chiminea and firing it, but I’m not sure if that would keep it permanently dry them. The clay is from a campsite we went to. Do you think I could bake it?

So help? What is his angle?
This guy I’ve been hanging with (and continually asking questions about) who I’m crazy for, and I’m starting to think he might have a little something for me too, did something totally out of the blue today…
I’m eating lunch with my parents, my dads on Facebook, and I hear the little noise go off that someone wanted to chat with him, which is not unusual for the type of person my dad is. Then he says "*Jorge* just popped up to talk to me" I said "my *Jorge*?!" haha he said yeah and read it aloud to me "Hello sir, I was thinking that sometime before Jyll leaves I’d like to have her and the rest of your family out to my house for dinner, coffee, a fire in the chiminea, and hammock time. Jyll and I have had some really great times out there"
to which my dad responded positively about making it happen, etc…
is he trying to impress me by doing that? is he trying to impress my dad?
he’s successfully impressed me, but he did that long before talking to my dad.
What are your thoughts?
*Jorge* is not his real name lol

Can I use my propane chiminea to burn wood?
I just bought a propane chiminea, after removing all the gas components, would I be able to burn normal wood? I just wanted the option of both.

Why does my woodpile smell so bad?
My boyfriend cut down an oak tree that was in his yard. He hauled it to my house where he cut, split, and stacked it for me. I’m glad to have it, I love to sit by the chiminea at night, but the wood smells like vomit. I bought a bag of mulch recently that smelled similar, ugh. So this is a two part question: A. Why does it smell bad? Could it be disease or insects? We found a large larva in one of the pieces. B. Is there anything I can do about it? Hose it down? Cover it with a tarp?

Landlord downsizing skyline view balcony by 50% mid-lease & has offered no compensation. What are my options?
Balcony in question is fairly large, maybe 5X10. Balconies were added several years ago during a renovation. Local historical preservation committee approved the balconies and renovations. US Parks Department says they must go. The compromise reached between landlord and US Parks Department is to reduce the size of balcony by 50%. I want to stop this more than be compensated (ie reduced rent), as I will no longer be able to enjoy cooking out, sitting in front of the chiminea, or have friends and or family over to watch fireworks from a fantastic vantage point. The landlord has already told me there will be no reduction in rent. This seems like a breach of contract to me. I would like to know if I have any options to stop this from happening and if I have any right to compensation, and if so, what is reasonable compensation.
